The Procigar Festival was created by the Association of the Dominican Cigar Manufacturers (PROCIGAR), an unforgettable experience in the cigar industry, combining educational opportunities, entertainment, and a large number of exclusives premium cigars.
The Festival promotes the Dominican tobacco industry strengthening our current position as exporters of the finest premium cigars in the world.

The event starts in La Romana, in the eastern coast, where you can visit the biggest cigar factory and continues in Santiago de los Caballeros, the cigar capital of the world, for a circuit of simultaneous tours where guests can participate in guided visits to the most exclusive premium cigar factories and tobacco fields, as well as leisure tours that promote the Dominican Republic. Each day culminates with a grand dinner were more than 800 national and international guests gather to celebrate the Dominican tobacco industry.

Registration is open to consumers, retailers, press and suppliers. Only cigar brands manufactured by the members of Procigar are allowed at the festival activities.

The Procigar Festival is divided in 2 portions:
- First portion- La Romana, Casa de Campo * To participate in this portion of the Festival, you must book a room at our main hotel with an All-Inclusive Package, ONLY through the link provided on our website. Any other arrangements will not be accepted.*
- Second portion – Cibao Valley in Santiago
The time for the activities in Santiago has been scheduled to depart from the Residence Inn Hotel. For guests staying at other hotels, departure time will be earlier, except for dinner parties. You will find bus schedule on our Procigar Festival App as soon as you register.

Close the night with the Gala Dinner Party held at Centro Español, a private club founded in 1965. On this night, you will be welcomed with a collectible cigar box, a delightful dinner and a spectacular show.
Enjoy and participate in the Auction of Collectible items filled with either special, rare of Limited-Edition cigars, kindly donated by Procigar Members and other associates, to benefit low-income families with children and elders of the Dominican Republic. You can also contribute to building a totally equipped new home for one of the cigar industry’s employees. End this journey with an after party featuring DJs, performances by dancers, and the best cigar brands in the world.

If you choose the complete Itinerary for all the activities in Santiago (February 18th-21st) a discount of US$250.00 will be applied to your total payment (includes all tours, lunches, dinners, and goodie bag)

Participation Fee for the First Portion in La Romana: You must request an All-Inclusive package in Casa de Campo Resort to guarantee your spot at all the Festival events, through our link provided in the Hotel Reservation Tab. Procigar will be sponsoring the visit to Tabacalera de García and ground transportation to Santiago.

- Fee for Day Tours (Wednesday, Thursday & Friday) – US$ 300.00 each

50% of the payment is required to reserve your registration.

Hotels Second Portion – Santiago Valley
For the activities in Santiago de los Caballeros (February 18th – 21st):
Your second reservation should be made in one our official hotels (Residence Inn, AC Marriott Santiago and Hodelpa Garden Court) from February 18th-21st, 2025. (Other hotels are accepted, but transportation is only provided from our official hotels).

If you are attending to all activities of the Festival from February 16th until February 21st, arrival airport on February 16th must be Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ), as a second choice La Romana International Airport (LRM) or Las Americas Airport (SDQ). Departure airport on February 22nd should be Cibao International Airport (STI) in Santiago. They all have a couple of airlines available depending on your departure city.
If you are only attending the Santiago activities, arrival airport on February 18th must be Cibao International Airport (STI) in Santiago.
If you are attending to all activities of the Festival from February 16th until February 21st, arrival airport on February 16th must be Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ), La Romana International Airport (LRM) and departure airport on February 22nd should be from Cibao International Airport (STI) or Gregorio Luperón International Airport in Puerto Plata (located 1.5 hours driving from Santiago) or Las Americas Airport (SDQ) in Santo Domingo (2.5 hours driving). You can also depart from Santiago (STI) if you choose a flight connecting through Miami or NY (USA) and there’s a nonstop flight from Cibao International Airport (STI) to Madrid, Spain ( MAD) only departing on the 22nd.
If you are only attending the Santiago activities, arrival airport on February 18th must be Gregorio Luperón International Airport in Puerto Plata (located one hour driving from Santiago) or Las Americas Airport (SDQ) in Santo Domingo (2.5 hours driving). You can also arrive in Santiago (STI) if you choose a flight connecting through Miami or NY (USA).
Punta Cana or La Romana is in the east coast of Dominican Republic, about 160 miles from Santiago, approximately 4-5 hours driving.
Yes, you can. Your arrival date should be February 18th at Cibao International Airport in Santiago or, if you are coming from Europe, you might want to try arriving to Puerto Plata (POP) or Santo Domingo (SDQ).
The total cost of the Ultimate Cigar Experience (Full Itinerary) is US $2,250.00; it includes all expenses such as goodie bag valued over US $450.00, transportation for all events, seminars, lunches, dinner parties, all tours, promotional items, cigars, etc.
The activities offered in Casa de Campo, La Romana are mostly sponsored by Procigar, except for the accommodation at Casa de Campo Resort. To participle in this part of the Festival, it is required that you book a room at this hotel with the All-Inclusive package, ONLY through the contact we provide in our website. If you make your reservation through any other alternative ways such as: travel agencies, online booking engines…) we won’t be able to guarantee your spot at the festival’s activities in Casa de Campo.

If your wife is not interested in visiting the factories, you will need to select the dinner that she is interested. Below you will find the dinner fees per night:

Two hotels must be booked. You will have to make a reservation at Casa de Campo Resort in La Romana from February 16th until February 18st. Free ground transportation is provided from La Romana to Santiago. For the activities in Santiago, you’ll then need to have a reservation at one of our official hotels in Santiago (Residence Inn, AC Marriott Santiago and Hodelpa Garden Court) from February 18th until the 22nd.
- Welcome Dinner Party (February 21st): Cocktail attire
- White Dinner Party (February 22nd): White cocktail attire (“chacabanas” or white shirt is suggested for men)
- Gala Dinner Party (February 23rd): Formal attire (suit and tie for men).
Dominican Pesos is the official currency in Dominican Republic but, in most places, you can also pay in US Dollars. The exchange rate in September 2024 is 59.1 pesos for one dollar.
Money is only needed for the hotel charges, which can be paid by credit card. The Festival includes all transportations (from official hotels to all Festival activities and vice versa), and meals. If you are willing to donate during the auction at the Gala Dinner Party, cash, check, or credit card are recommended.
